Christy’s favorite author is Janet Evanovich, one of her favorite characters is August Boatwright from the Secret Life of Bees. Christy became a librarian because of the feeling, when you have helped someone find the “perfect” book to read. The smile on their face is priceless. One of her favorite things about the library is the smell of a new book. With all the outstanding books out there, Christy can’t choose just one must read. Instead one of her favorite quotes come from Jane Austin: “I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book.”

Donna Grigas, Library Clerk

My lifelong love of reading began as a 1st grader when my Great Aunt Helen brought me to our local library for reading hour. Over the years, I have spent many hours discovering the wonders of places and ideas through pictures and words with the guidance of thoughtful and caring librarians.

While my work life has been rich and varied for many years in the health industry, I am blessed with this opportunity, in my retirement, to pay it forward to help others of all ages explore the joys of reading.
